Technology Students Association
“The mission of the Technology Students Association is to prepare students for the challenges of a dynamic world by promoting technological literacy, leadership, and problem solving, resulting in personal growth and opportunities.”
Technology Student Association ,TSA, is the only student organization devoted exclusively to the needs of students interested in technology. This national, non profit organization allows both middle school students, that are in 6th, 7th, & 8th grade/ Level I, and the high school students, grades 9th thru 12th / Level II, to participate a local chapter (their school), regional (Valley), state (Virginia), and national (USA) level. The club is sponsored and run by your school's Technology Education Department.
TSA is supported by educators, parents, and business leaders who believe in the need for a technologically literate society. Members learn through exciting competitive events, leadership opportunities, and much more. The diversity of activities makes TSA a positive experience for every student. From engineers to business managers, our alumni credit TSA with a positive influence on their lives.
TSA gives members opportunities for leadership and personal growth in all areas of technology, innovation, design and engineering. Through TSA's regional, state, and national competitions members can challenge themselves in over sixty different categories in middle and high school. These competitions stress the importance of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) concepts, leadership, and presentation skills.
So join TSA with over a 150,000 other middle school and high school students that have decided to become members representing 48 states in the United States this 2012-2013 school year. Since its inception back in 1978 over 2,000,000 students have become affiliated and have participated as TSA members.
TSA Motto: Learning to live in a technical world.
