Elkton Middle School

EMS Track: We will continue to practice Monday-Thursday 3:10-4:30. Tomorrow, Wednesday, March 13th we will hold a mandatory parent meeting at 4:30. There will be a lot of information shared at this meeting. Track pictures will be next Friday, March 22nd right afterschool. Order forms to come.

Spring and buddy pictures are this Thursday, March 14th at Elkton Middle School. Refer to your email for additional information.

TRACK WILL practice this afternoon, Friday, March 8th

Congratulations to the 8th grade band on earning a rating of “excellent” at concert assessment yesterday afternoon. EMS is very proud of you all & Mr. Holsinger!!!

EMS parents/guardians of students participating in track: We are having technically difficulties with our Track "rooms". Please plan to pick students up at 4:30 today. Practices will typically be Monday - Thursday 3:15-4:30. More info to come. We will send out a message once the "room" for Track is ready. Thank you!

Tomorrow, Thursday, March 7th, Elkton Middle School will participate in the statewide tornado drill at 9:45am.

EMS: Due to the early release today, the cheer showcase is tomorrow, Wednesday, February 28 at 4:30pm. Cheerleaders will stay after school and parents are welcome to come at 4:30pm. Sorry for the short notice of this change. We look forward to the cheer showcase with cheerleader families tomorrow.

Dear Parents & Families, We're thrilled to introduce a new feature in our district app called Rooms! This platform is designed for seamless communication between staff and families, making it easier than ever to stay informed about school updates and activities. As we roll out this new tool, we're starting with a small group of teachers, all spring sports coaches, and our Middle School and High School Principals. While not all staff members will immediately transition to using Rooms as their primary communication tool, we're moving in that direction and aim to have full implementation by the beginning of the 2024-2025 school year. Stay tuned for more information and resources as we continue the rollout. Effective communication is essential to our school community's success, and we're excited to embark on this journey with you through Rooms!

FFA Week will be celebrated with Blue & Gold Day on Tuesday, 2/20 and Camo Day on Friday, 2/23. Members will meet after school on Wednesday, 2/21.

The boys and girls basketball tournaments scheduled for Saturday, February 17th have been cancelled due to the inclement weather forecasted. The tournaments will not be rescheduled at this time.
